MJHC Coaches Reimbursement Policy

It is the policy set by the Board of Directors that coaches shall be reimbursed for their USA Hockey Registration and for any Coaching Education programs that they are required to complete through Level 3.

In order to receive reimbursement, the coach must be active and rostered in the MJHC on a team or with a program (Skill Development), and submit a written request. Requests for reimbursement must be accompanied by receipts and may not be submitted prior to January 1.

Coaches Information

Coaches, if you plan on coaching this year, you must have a 2011-12 bar coded USA Hockey Coaches Registration receipt, which is available at:

and you also must complete a background check form at:

Student Coaches

Attention ALL MJHC Coaches:

MJHC supports the use of student coaches on our youth teams. However, there are USA Hockey guidelines in place :

A Student Coach must be between the ages of 13 - 17 years old and currently registered through USA Hockey.
Student Coaches may only work with players at least ONE full playing age level down (i.e. a Peewee age player may be a Student Coach at the Squirt or Mite level.)
Must complete the USA Hockey Student Coach Information.

If you are interested in having a Student Coach on your team, please submit the required form with the required signatures to Tim McIntosh so the paperwork can be processed and the student coach can be added to your teams roster.
