Scheduling Report by Division
Compiled
Below you will find the cost analysis of our individual divisions of MJHC. The estimated blended rate being used is $140. Division credit is calculated with the formula:
(# of players) * (registration cost - $160) * 95%
Mite Tier I
44 players Credit = $11913
Evaluation Ice (6 hours) $840
Practice (65 hrs) $9100
Cross ice (14 hrs) $1960
Refs (0 games) $0
Total $11900
Conclusions:
No games on schedule therefore I could not calculate Referee costs. Once this is done this group will be over budget.
Mite Tier II
39 Players Credit = $10559.25
Evals (6hrs) $840
Practice (32 hrs) $4480
Games (27 hrs) $3780
Refs ($31.50/game) $850.50
Out of town games (6) $0
Total $9950.50
Difference $608.25
Conclusions:
O’boyle has several games scheduled vs. out of town teams. These should be billed to O’boyle and not to Mite II division. These games should be listed as sublet on schedule. I did not include these games in above numbers.
Squirts
51 players Credit = $15504
Evals (8 hrs) $1120
Practice (53 hrs) $7420
Games (33) $4620
Refs ($35.5/ game) $1171.5
Out of town games (15) $0
Total $14331.50
Difference $1171
Conclusions:
They do not have year end playoffs scheduled yet. If they use 1 hour playoff games the cost should be $ 1053. That leaves them with 1 hour ice that should be given to the teams that have had the least ice.
Peewees
51 players Credit = $17442
Evals (8 hrs) $1120
Practice (47 hrs) $6580
Games (30 @1 hr) $4200
Playoffs (6 @1 ½ hr) $1260
Refs ($40/ 1 hr game) $1200
($60/ 1.5hr game) $360
Out of town games (15) $0
Total $14720
Difference $2722
Conclusions:
Year end playoffs will cost $1620. This still leaves $1100 or 8 hours of ice for the division. This should be scheduled to make sure all teams have received equal ice first, and then divide any remaining ice equally.
Bantams
27 players Credit = $11286
Evals (8 hours) $1120
Practice (13.5 hrs) $1890
Games (32 @ 1.5 hrs) $6720
Refs ($66/ game) $2112
Out of town games (22) $0
Total $11842
Difference ($556)
Conclusions:
This
division did not get a lot of practice time.
With less than expected numbers, and very high game costs ($276 / home
game), the ice time was less than expected.
This division did receive a total of 70 hours of ice in
Midget
33 players Credit = $13794
Evals (8 hrs) $1120
Practice (20 hrs) $2800
Games (32 @ 1.5 hrs) $6720
Refs ($72/game) $2304
Out of town games (22) $0
Total $12944
Difference $850
Conclusions:
This division still has $850 or 6 hours of ice to use as they see fit.
Girls 12U
13 players Credit = $3952
Evals $420
Practice (21 ½ ice) $1470
Games (10 hrs) $1400
Out of town (2 games) $0
Refs $385
Total $3675
Difference $277
Conclusions:
Girls divisions were given ice to schedule since the Cup league fell through. Each team needed to schedule their games. This division had $2100 to schedule with. This would equate to eight 1 ½ hour games with refs or twelve 1 hour games with refs. If you schedule reciprocal games with out of town teams, there is a chance to end up with 16 – 20 games. I do not have accurate data for this team other than in town games to know how many games they had overall. There is also concern with this team as to who needs to pay for the games they scheduled with squirt teams. This needs to be worked out with coaches and our director and those scheduling changes need to be forwarded to me.
Girls 14U
13 players (6 12U and 7 14U) Credit = $4218
Evals $420
Practice (21 ½ ice @ $70 per) $1470
Games (8 1 ½ hr games) $1680
Refs ($66 / game) $528
Out of town games (8) $0
Total $4098
Difference $120
Conclusions:
Nice scheduling job, got full value for his in town ice.
Girls 19 U
13 players Credit = $5434*
*based on all players paying 19 U rate
Evals $280
Practice (9.5 hours) $1330
Games (12 @ 1 ½ hrs) $2520
Refs ($72/game) $864
Out of town games (???) $0
Total $4994
Difference $440
Conclusions:
Provided all players pay the 19 U registration rate this team should get 3 hours of ice. This team insists on full ice practices, therefore they don’t get as much practice. If 12U, 14U, and 19U combined practice dollars this team could have doubled its practice time. I have no info on out of town games, but I’m sure Craig got reciprocal games with his in town ice. I would assume at least 10 away games.
