Secretary’s Report
Motion to accept the minutes of the March meeting by Lykins. 2nd: Olson. Motion carries.
Superiorland Kiwanis Proposal
Brian
Harsch of the Superiorland Kiwanis says their membership has dropped and they
are looking for help in their fundraising efforts. They are holding a golf outing in May and are
selling raffle tickets. Motion to sell the raffle tickets by
Lykins. 2nd: Olson. Motion carries.
Advantedge Sports Training
Brian Claus
talked about their facilities and skating treadmill and proposed a corporate
training membership for MJHC. Motion to provide vendor tables for a $20
fee to full page program advertisers at the 2007 banquets by Winslow. 2nd: Wiegand. Motion carries.
Treasurer’s Report
Winslow reports we have receipts of $360,993.50 and expenses of $176,992.02 so far this season. The ice bill remains unpaid and is still incorrect. Motion to approve the treasurer’s report by Starrett. 2nd: Olson. Motion carries.
Winslow discussed the Wells Fargo CD that is coming due.

MJHC Director’s Report
There is a
team from
Froberg will draft a ‘how to become a referee’ article for the newsletter.
Travel Team Director’s Report
The finals bills were due March 31st. There are still a number of teams that haven’t paid their final bills. Improvements in the team billing process will be discussed at a future work session.

Fundraising Committee
There will
be a Spaghetti Dinner on
The Golf Outing has MC Sports donating clubs and balls. Last year’s outing made $5140.50.
The Girls’ Skate didn’t lose any money. It only had 38 skaters. There will be a full camp starting August 6th.
Electricians
The team has paid the sponsorship fee. They are seeking a new head coach and assistant coach. The application deadline is April 18.
Tournament Committee
The tournaments are completed for this season.
Lykins believes too many programs are thrown away at tournaments. She must approve the number of programs for each tournament before Pride Printing will print them.
Coaches Committee- no report
Equipment Committee
Wiegand
presented a letter regarding a used equipment sale. Motion
by Lykins for the Equipment Committee to run with it and have fun. 2nd: Olson.
Motion carries.
Equipment bids were examined. Motion by Olson to accept the bids from bidder #1 on all items. 2nd: Nordquist. Motion carries.
Officials Committee- no report
Golf Outing
No entry price set yet.
Scheduling Committee
Wiegand requests the ice breakdown so he can analyze it before a budget session.
